My mother (58 years old) has MS and is mostly wheelchair bound, so we're looking for someone to help her with basic daily tasks for a few hours per day in her home in Coalville, UT. Schedule is very flexible. The tasks could include things like tidying around the house, home organization projects, helping to manage her calendar, grocery shopping and running errands, driving to appointments, and even some fun things like being her crafting and gardening buddy. No medication administration or personal care like grooming, bathing, or dressing will be needed. The ideal candidate should be compassionate and VERY patient. MS is a brutal and unfair disease, and there can be some bad days. I'd like to find someone who is resourceful, organized, and takes initiative on the days when my mom can't get out of bed -- someone who pays attention and can figure out how to help even without exact, specific directions every time.
